David Francis has a degree in Marine Biology and Oceanography from Swansea University , and an MBA from Imperial College, London.
The extensive portfolio of dive sites he has enjoyed includes most of the UK, Germany, The Bahamas, The British Virgin Islands, The Philippines, Hong Kong, Papua New Guinea, British Columbia, Libya, Egypt and South Africa.
As well as his civilian diving qualifications he has also had experience as a commercial and Army Diver. He has dived in nil visibility, tropical and temperate seas, beneath the ice of a frozen harbour and with a multitude of sharks and other marine species.
It was his personal observation of the positive and negative aspects of various artificial reefs that motivated him to create his own design, optimised to provide the greatest benefit for the aquatic environment.
David lives in Somerset with his wife, three daughters and two cats.
